The London knights have made the memorial cup for the past few years, and will host the 2014 Cup in London. Although the continue to make the Memorial cup.. they seem to choke every year and this year hasn’t been very different .. with only one win over Saskatoon.
Halifax dominated the Knights ending the game 9-2 and knocking out the Knights. Halifax was undefeated throughout their playoffs until losing 5-2 to Saskatoon, but they continue their memorial cup journey heading onto to semi finals.
The Mooseheads started off early by dominating the first period with 5 goals to none. Although the knights put 2 in during the second period, they didn’t have enough to come back. Halifax put in 3 more in the second and the 9th goal in the final period.
Frik Martin sealed his hat trick with 1 goal late in the first and a pair in the second.
London saw goals from Matt Rupert and Seth Griffith. London will be appearing in the Memorial Cup in 2014 when they host it at the John Labatt Arena.
