Hamilton Nationals - News and Notes June 10

The Hamilton Nationals’ winning streak came to an end Saturday Night in Denver with a 22-9 loss against the Outlaws.  The Nats (5-1) moved into second place in the MLL, following their first setback of the season.
From the nine goals that were scored by the Nationals, Kevin Crowley had four and Garrett Thul, who made his MLL debut, had three. Crowley’s point streak reached 21 games, as he continued to lead the Nationals in points (26) and rank second in the MLL in that offensive category. Rookie Josh Hawkins put in his second of his MLL career. Hawkins made his debut with the Nationals against the Ohio Machine on May 23rd with one goal.

Stephen Keogh, who just recently won the Warrior Offensive Player of the Week after his five-point game against the Bayhawks, had one assist. Rochester Knighthawks teammate Cody Jamieson also chipped in one assist. Joe Walters scored one goal for the Nationals to rank 12th in the MLL with 17 points.

The Nationals continue their road trip as they head to New York to take on the New York Lizards for the second time this season. In the last contest, Crowley scored with four seconds left to give Hamilton a 12-11 victory on May 11th.
