Hamilton Nationals - News and Notes June 3

The Hamilton Nationals move to 5-0 after an over time win in Annapolis, Md. this weekend with a goal 1:55 into over time from Jordan Hall. The Nationals continued their franchise best start, as well as tying their longest winning streak in franchise history.
With their second overtime win of the season, they handed the Bayhawks their second straight overtime loss. The Nats’ first OT win of the season was against the Charlotte Hounds on May 17th when Matt Dolente scored seven seconds into overtime.
Several Nationals players also reached milestones last weekend. Stephen Keogh and Kevin Cunningham both put up a career-high five points. Brett Queener made 14 saves to surpass 400 saves as a National. And Kevin Crowley broke the record for game points streak, moving to 20 games.
Not only did we see a lot of action from Keogh, who rattled off three in the first quarter for his hat trick, but NLL teammates Joe Walters and Cody Jamieson each had four-point games with a goal and three assists each. Jamieson is back from taking some time off between the NLL and MLL seasons, after leading the Rochester Knighthawks to another title. Jamieson is the second NLL player in history to win back-to-back Championship MVP awards.
The Nationals will head to Denver to take on the (5-0) Outlaws on Saturday, June 8th. In the past, Denver and Hamilton have met a total of 10 times with Nationals winning twice; One in 2009 for the Championship and the second in 2011 in the Semifinals.
The Nationals will host the Chesapeake Bayhawks in their next home game on Saturday, June 29th at Ron Joyce Stadium at McMaster University. For tickets go to www.nationalslacrosse.com.
